I began using this product after looking for possible causes of my chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and insomnia. I suffer also from having developed in recent years and extreme sensitivity to stress. I looked at whether there could be some problem with my cortisol, perhaps a cortisol resistance similar to insulin resistance. With nothing to lose I looked up how adrenal malfunction is normally treated, and saw that DHEA is typically taken for life. Pregnenolone is a precursor for DHEA and the downstream cascade of hormones that the adrenals produce. Of course, there was no proof that this would work, but I felt i had nothing to lose. On trying one tablet twice a day, I've found it reliably removes the muscle weakness and fatigue, and gives me enough energy to be able to live a bit more normally. Long term, I don't know what might come of it, however I've discovered that if I now take two tablets at a time, at any time during the day that the weakness returns, it works pretty reliably, and for that I'm thankful.
