I was diagnosed with benign prostate hyperplasia and put on some drug for the rest of my life. Within 2 weeks I had all the side affects except ' a prolonged and painful erection that may last several days' which disappointed my wife but meant that I was still able to go swimming without risk of being chucked out of the pool. I take 1 in the morning at 7 and one in the evening at 9 and I also take a 400mg ibuprofen at 11 when I go to bed. I am a competetive athlete aged 58 so the ibuprofen helps ease my aching muscles as well as reduce any prostate swelling (so I've heard). I go to the loo at 0200 then that's me asleep again until 7. These pills have given me back my nights sleep as I was going to the loo probably 5/6/7 times a night before.
