I am writing this in October, having now used this exact product since late July. If it helps anyone - my background is that I'm over 40, had thinning hair (partially genetic but also hadn't recovered from a stressful period of time some years ago). For a few years I found that taking Vitamin D/K3 supplementation helped, as did iron, but only went so far to promote regrowth. It wasn't catastrophically thin, but thin enough that I used keratin dusts/tricks to keep it looking better than it really was.My mother (mid-70s) had suggested I try this as she had good results in her later years. I was - in all honesty - skeptical about any of this stuff but thought it was worth a shot. I was also a bit afraid of the 2-week initial shedding but it wasn't *that* bad, in all honesty, and it was soon after that period that I saw a decrease in, for instance, hair loss in showering/loose hair when brushing etc. I have been pretty diligent about applying 2x per day, though occasionally would be 1x - and it hasn't been an issue, I just don't skip that often. There is no question my hair is better now - not like 100% recovered - but there's visible improvement - less shedding than before I started, more new growth and over time, it's continued to get better - I was able to modify my hairstyle, my hairdresser notices it, the new growth area is evident and has even brought forward my hairline somewhat. I have not had any issues with unwanted hair growth. The only cons I can give this is that the liquid-dropper form, while far cheaper than foam, can be messy - do your best to keep it off the hair shaft as it can dry with a bit of a texture change (styling doesn't work as well), and it can occasionally make your scalp itch - not enough to make me not want to use it! It's worth it. In addition, I have seen perhaps slightly more improvement at the front, than at the crown, but there has been some at least everywhere I've applied it, no question. In any case, you must be patient - this works in part by extending the life of each hair - so it takes time for that to cumulatively build up + the new growth to make an impact. in short - if you don't give this at least 4-5 months, it's not going to be fully apparent just how much, or little, it will help you. But this is a good price for minoxidil and it's worth trying for a long enough period to be sure! Hope this helps someone.
